Objectives of the Course |
To be able to analyze the reasons and results of the negativities in the periods of stagnation, decline and disintegration of the Ottoman Empire. To make students comprehend the importance of reforms made to save the state from collapse. To comprehend the Ottoman-Russian, Ottoman-Austrian, Ottoman-France relations and the reasons for this relationship. |

The period from the 1600s to the collapse of the Ottoman empire (1922); political developments in the Ottoman Empire during this time; state organization and local government units; cultural developments and important figures; Relations of the Ottoman Empire with other surrounding states and communities. |
