Objectives of the Course
To be able to learn about Pre-Islamic Turkic states and Turkic communities. To be able to comprehend the effect of the steppe on the shaping and spread of Turkish culture. To be able to gain experience on how to teach the knowledge, skills and values learned by pre-service teachers in social studies class.

1Learns about basic historical facts such as the emergence of Turks on the stage of history, Turkish ancestry, the homeland of Turks and migrations from the homeland.
2Makes inferences about the political history of the pre-Islamic Turkish states.
3Comprehend the basic characteristics of the rulers, statesmen and scholars who lived in the pre-Islamic Turkish states.
4Comprehend the basic characteristics of the rulers, statesmen and scholars who lived in the pre-Islamic Turkish states.
5Evaluates the religious beliefs of the Turks in the pre-Islamic period.
