Objectives of the Course
The aim of the lesson is to give information about folk tales; to teach structure and content features of folk tales via selected examples; to make students gain resource information about folk tales; and to make students gain the ability of analizing folk tales.

Folk tales as folk text ; the concept of folk tale; the origin of folk tales; classifiying the folk tales in terms of issue and volume; folk tales in terms of format and content; analyzing methods of folk tales; the text analysis of Dede Korkut, Köroglu, Kerem ile Aslı, Tahir ile Zühre, Âşık Garip, Şah ismail ve Şifâî ile Selvihan tales.
