Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to understand what sport psychology is, its historical development, the causes of human behavior in sport environments and the mental processes behind these behaviors, psychological factors and processes affecting athlete performance, psychological factors in exercise and sports participation and sustainability.

This course; Introduction to Sports Psychology and Basic Concepts, Historical development of basic concepts of sports psychology, Structure of the brain and nervous system, Sports and Personality, Psychological skills training, Motivation and Motivation Theories in Sports, Goal setting in sports, Attention and concentration, Team Dynamics and Group Cohesion, Stress, anxiety and their effect on performance, Injury psychology Psychology of violence and aggression in sports, Addiction Unhealthy behaviors and doping topics.
