The aim of this course is to teach the importance of social theories, social issues and sociological approaches in sports.

Introduction to sports sciences and sociology, the role of sports in society, social theories and sports, equal opportunity in sports, gender and social class in sports, child protection policies in sports, international physical education and sports policies, the importance of health and sports policies.
