Course Contents
It includes the political events of the Ottoman Empire in the Modern Age. From the throne of Sultan Abdülaziz II. Political events until the declaration of the Constitutional Monarchy, political struggles between the Ottoman Empire and other states and internal revolts are within the subject of the course. In this period, internal riots gain weight. These are the revolts such as the Montenegrin revolt, the Wallachia and the Boğdan incidents, the Serbian incidents, the Cretan revolt, the Herzegovina revolt and the Bulgarian revolt. These revolts became even more complicated by the involvement of European states, as there were non-Muslim revolts, while the Ottoman State had problems in the internal affairs. Again in this period, the expansion of the right of exemption of Egypt, the death of Sultan Abdülaziz, the throne of V. Murad and his deportation due to health problems, II. Abdülhamid's throne, Declaration of the 1st Constitutional Monarchy, 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, Treaty of Ayastafanos, Berlin Congress and agreement, Tunisia under the protection of France, Britain settled in Egypt, Bulgaria and East Rumelia political events such as the events, the 1897 Greek War, the Crete and the Armenian issue, the Macedonian events and the Ottoman-German relations.
