Objectives of the Course
This course aims to explain changes in Anatolia during the Middle Bronze Age, the importance of the Assyrian Trade Colonies Age, the place and importance of the Hittites in Anatolia.

Course Contents
This course examines the political, socio-economic and religious status of the Middle Bronze Age Anatolia. In this context, the age of Assyrian Trade Colonies and its importance, the first meeting of Anatolia with writing, the origin of the Hittites, the emergence of the Hittites to the historical scene, the Hittite geography, the Old Kingdom and the Imperial Period, the state administration in the Hittites, the army, the military organization, language, literature, writing, law, religion, art, economy, commerce, important archaeological finds centers of the Hittites, the Late Hittite Principalities.
