Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide the students to be able to know authonomic nervous system; to classify parasympathomimetic, parasympatholytic, sympathomimetic and sympatholytic drugs; to classify and interpret the drugs acting on cardiovascular system, endocrine system and musculoskeletal system; to interpret the drugs used in cancer therapy, bone diseases, skin diseases and eye diseases; to classify and interpret drug therapy of special patient groups, vitamins and OTC supplements.

1To be able to interpret the functions of the autonomic nervous system
2classify parasympathomimetic and parasympatholytic drugs and their mechanisms of the effect
3classify sympathomimetic and sympatholytic drugs and their mechanisms of the effect
4interpret drugs acting on cardiovascular system (antihypertensives, Antiarrhythmic drugs, antianginal drugs, hypolipidemic drugs, antiplatelet drugs)
5interpret drugs acting on endocrine system diseases

Course Contents
1. Autonomic nervous system drugs 2. Cardiovascular system, antiarrhythmic drugs, antianginal drugs, congestive heart failure and cardiac glycosides, hypolipidemic drugs, antiplatelet drugs. 3. Vascular system: blood pressure and hypertension drugs 4. Musculoskeletal system, inflammation, NSAIDs 5. Endocrine system drugs 6. Drugs used in Bone diseases, 7. Diabetes mellitus and antidiabetic drugs 8. Drugs used in skin, eye and ear diseases 9. Drugs used in cancer chemotherapy 10. Vitamins, OTC supplements 11. Drug therapy of special patient groups
