Objectives of the Course
At the end of this course, the student will learn about the political revolutions (abolition of the Sultanate, the proclamation of the Republic and the abolition of the Caliphate) after the National Struggle and the reforms that followed them in the fields of law, education, economy, social and cultural, the basic features of the foreign policy carried out in the Atatürk period and again. will be able to explain and interpret Atatürk's principles.

Principles of Atatürk, Principle of Republicanism; Relations between the republic and democracy, Atatürk and republicanism, the principle of nationalism, the concepts of nationality, nationalism, the principle of populism; Populism in Turks, Atatürk's understanding of populism, the principle of secularism; Definition of religion and its relationship with other institutions, laicism, secularism in Turks, the principle of statism; definition of the state, its duties, classical and modern understanding of the state, statism in Turks, the benefits of statism to Turkish society in the Kemalist thought system, the principle of revolutionism; Definition of the concept of revolution, revolutionism in the Kemalist thought system.
