Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide students with general knowledge about basic electrical machines such as transformer, direct current motor, asynchronous motor, synchronous motor, generator and alternator.

6To have information about the control of synchronous motors

Introduction to Electrical Machines; Transformer and Rotation Motion; Three-phase Transformers; Voltage Regulation; Measurement Transformers; Equivalent Circuits and Types of Direct Current Generators and Motors; Asynchronous and synchronous machines; working principle of induction motor, equivalent circuit of asynchronous motor and efficiency calculation; Structure of the synchronous motor, working principle and equivalent circuit parameters; Working principle of stepper motors; Servo motors working principle; Universal motors
