Objectives of the Course |
The aim of this course is to provide students with the most basic information about the Turkish legal system. One of the main objectives of the course is to teach the differences of the rules of law from other rules of social order such as morality, religion, customs and traditions by comprehending the social importance of the rules of law. It is aimed that the students taking this course will have knowledge about legal regulations such as constitution, law, presidential decree, regulation in the Turkish legal system and will have basic knowledge in public and private law branches such as civil law, constitutional law, administrative law. |

1 | Understands the rules of law and other rules of social order and comprehends the differences between them. | 2 | Learns the different legal systems that have been applied in the world from past to present. | 3 | Learn the rules of public law and private law and distinguish the differences between them. | 4 | Learns the regulations in the Turkish hierarchy of norms such as the constitution, laws, international agreements, presidential decrees, regulations. | 5 | Learns the functioning of the Turkish administration. Have knowledge about the regulatory procedures of the administration. | 6 | Learns basic information about Turkish civil law and Turkish commercial law. Course Contents |
This course includes basic concepts of law, rules of social order, Turkish judicial system, Turkish hierarchy of norms, basic branches of law in the Turkish legal system such as constitutional law, civil law, administrative law, law of obligations, criminal law, personality licenses, and basic information about private and public law. |
