Objectives of the Course
To give basic information about Public Relations departments, to explain the reasons for the emergence of public relations, its importance and principles, to equip students with the necessary target audience analysis while performing their profession, how the public relations unit is organized and works, what kind of tools are used in its activities, and to teach effective communication methods, The aim of this course is to explain the obstacles that arise during effective communication and to find solutions to them.

There is no prerequisite course.
Recommended Optional Programme Components
Every student who attends classes for 6 weeks until the midterm exam will receive an additional +5 points for the midterm exam. Every student who attends classes for 6 weeks after midterm until the final exam will receive an additional +5 points for the final exam. At the end of the semester, every student who attends for 14 weeks will receive +10 extra points. The midterm exam will be hybrid (multiple choice + true false + fill in the blank) and will affect the pass score by 30%. The final will be in two stages and will be a hybrid exam (multiple choice + true false + fill in the blank) and Project application. The hybrid exam will account for 75% of the final exam score, the project application will constitute the remaining 25%, and the final exam will have a 70% impact on the passing grade. (The project must be a 2209-A project and the application must be approved by the system.)

Definition, history and close concepts of public relations, reasons that reveal the need for public relations, communication, goals and principles followed in public relations, organization of the public relations unit, development of the public relations program, target audience, public relations activities, communication tools used in public relations activities, Ethics in public relations, public relations in crisis management, public relations and sponsorship, image creation in public relations, public relations practices constitute the content of this course.
