Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to give basic information on acquisition of knowledge and skills that are the basis of parasitology, terms related to parasites (protozoons, helminths and arthropods), nomenclature, host-parasite associations, introduction pathways of parasites, disease pattern they produce, way outs, damage and protection.

1Will be learned (i) how to describe of a parasite (ii) the nomenclature and the life-cycle of parasites (iii) the history of parasitology and (iv) the genesis of parasites.
2Will be learned the general properties of parasites.
3Will explain the host – parasite relationship.
4Will explain the transmission routes of animal and zoonotic parasites.
5Will be learned the main diagnostic techniques to detect parasites.
