Objectives of the Course
To give students the basic knowledge about the Constitution, constitutional concepts, institutions and codes as well as the period before Turkey’s 1982 Constitution and the constitutional order of the country under the rule of 1982 Constitution. Besides, the course aims to provide students with a repertoire on the functions and objectives of constitutions which is hopefully thought to contribute to their attitudes to behave in accordance with basic rules of law. Furthermore, the course aims to equip the students with the skills of utilizing their knowledge on law in their professional lives.

Learning Outcomes
11. To obtain knowledge on Constitutional Law and Constitutions which were previously been in operation in Turkey as well as on the current 1982 Constitution.; 2 To learn about the functions of constitutions and their contribution to the construction of the societal order.; 3 To learn about the constitutions’ role in guaranteeing the basic human rights and freedoms and to gain knowledge on Constitutionalism Movement. ; 4 To obtain knowledge on State and the form of State as defined in the current Turkish Constitution. ; 5 To make students learn about Turkish Republic’s basic features through an evaluation of these features as presented in the current Turkish Constitution.; 6 To have knowledge on Constitutional rules regarding the institutional structure of and the operational processes about the basic state organs of legislation, execution and justice. ; 7 To provide students with the necessary repertoire which will enable them to comment on the 1982 Constitution in a way to democratize it in accordance with the requirements of the Turkish society.; 8 To enable students to be qualified with necessary measurement and evaluation techniques which are thought to contribute to their choices in the professional life.;
