To enable the student to know the characteristics of Turkish, to use the language correctly and effectively, and to express herself better in society.

1Comprehends the features of language, language-society and language-culture relations; knows reading and comprehension methods.
2Knows the structure of the Turkish language and its place among language families in the world, the dialect-dialect-dialect distinction; Understands the use of punctuation marks.
3To see the prominent works in the historical development of the Turkish language, to know the spelling rules.
4Knows the phonetic features of the Turkish language, comprehends what the culture is and its unchanging elements.
5Knows the construction and inflectional affixes of the Turkish language, comprehends the features of the poetry type with examples.
