Medical Documentation and Secretariat Program started to provide education and training within the body of Bayburt Health Services Vocational School Medical Services and Techniques Department in 2011-2012 Academic Year. |
Qualification Awarded |
Those who successfully complete our program gain an Associate Degree in Medical Documentation and Secretariat and the title of Health Technician (Medical Secretary) in accordance with the decision of the Council of Higher Education, dated 27.07.1992 and numbered 92.26.698. |

For the recognition of prior learning in higher education institutions, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transferring Between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions" are applied. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Graduates of the Medical Documentation and Secretariat Program are expected to have the knowledge and skills of effective and eloquent speech, public relations, protocol rules, medical terminology, correspondence techniques, filing and archiving techniques, human anatomy, computer and ten-finger keyboard use. In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (for 120 ECTS), to achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and to successfully complete the summer internship (30 working days). |
Profile of The Programme |
The purpose of the Medical Documentation and Secretariat Program is to train medical secretaries who are needed to collect and organize medical documents obtained from studies in various fields and from health institutions and organizations in accordance with scientific rules and to present them to the service of researchers when necessary. |

Our graduates; With the title of health technician or medical secretary, they can work in provincial and district directorates, clinics, polyclinics, laboratories, operating rooms, emergency services, health boards, patient admissions and archives of private and public health institutions, family health units, community health centers and private physician offices. |
Access to Further Studies |
If our graduates are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM; They can make vertical transfers to Health Institutions Management, Health Management, Health Administration and Health Institutions Management Undergraduate Departments. |

The principles regarding the exams and grade assessment specified in the Bayburt University Associate Degree and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation are taken into consideration. |

Facilities |
All classrooms where the lessons are conducted have a smart board, projector and internet connection. Courses that require a computer application are carried out in the Computer Laboratory, which includes 60 computers. Internet access via wired-wireless networks is unlimited in this laboratory. This laboratory, where students can get service using their own personal computers, is also open to students outside of class hours. |
