General Description
History
As of 2019-2020, Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program is active with 30 student quota. This program has started accepting students as of the 2019-Fall Semester. The program is currently inactive. In the academic staff of this program, 1 Profesor, 1 Associate Profesor, 3 Assistant Profesors and 3 Lecturers. See. is on duty.
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete this program are given an associate degree diploma from the Department of Electricity and Energy, Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program. Our graduates receive the title of "technician".
Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle)
Short Cycle
Specific Admission Requirements
After graduating from high school or its equivalent, the candidates must have received sufficient points from the central exam held by ÖSYM.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The process of recognition of prior learning in Turkish higher education institutions is still in its infancy. Therefore, the recognition of prior learning has not been fully initiated in all programs of Bayburt University. For this reason, only foreign language exemption exams are held at our University in order to be recognized in previous education.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Successfully completing the 120 ECTS courses available in the program and obtaining a diploma grade of at least 2.00 out of 4.00. He must also have completed a 30-day industry-based internship.
Profile of The Programme
Alternative Energy Resources Technology Program graduates follow a training program in order to train technicians in this field, either in public or private institutions or in their own workplaces. The program is equipped with elective courses that they can take from other programs along with vocational courses. Our students reinforce the theoretical knowledge they have learned in the lessons with the applications.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates in the energy sector as designers or practitioners in the fields of energy generation, transmission, distribution and use. 1. In Solar Power Plants 2. In companies producing solar panels 3. Wind energy and turbine design and production plants 4. In other renewable energy power plants 5. Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), Türkiye Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Türkiye Elektrik İletişim A.Ş., Türkiye Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. etc. they can be employed in institutions and organizations.
Access to Further Studies
If our graduates are successful in the DGS exam conducted by OSYM, they can switch to Energy Engineering, Energy systems Engineering, Energy Management, Nuclear Energy Engineering, Electrical-Electronics, Electrical, Electronic Communication Engineering.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
The method of measurement and evaluation applied for each course is described in detail in the "Course Teaching Plan".
Graduation Requirements
The conditions in the section "Qualification conditions and rules" are sufficient.
