Banking and Insurance Program, YÖK General Assembly Decision 2015-2016 academic year in the academic year of Bayburt Vocational School began training. Since 2017-2018 academic year, education has been continuing in Vocational School of Social Sciences. |

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Students who choose our program can request to be exempt from the courses they have completed at the associate and undergraduate level and whose course contents are compatible with our program. They can do this if they apply in writing on the date specified in the academic calendar. During their compulsory internships for students working in the relevant field; Exemption may be granted if the internship commission deems it appropriate. |

In order to graduate from our program; It is mandatory to complete 120 ECTS at the end of 4 semesters, have a course GPA of 2.00 and do an internship for the specified periods. |
Profile of The Programme |
Our courses in the program curriculum are designed according to the knowledge and skills required in the banking and insurance industry. Our graduating students will be able to have sufficient knowledge and competence in relevant fields. With the compulsory internship arrangement, they will be able to see the application area of the theoretical knowledge they have learned, and they will reach the competent personnel status demanded by the banking and insurance sector. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Graduates of our program can work in public and private sector banking, insurance companies, leasing, factoring, participation banks, etc. They can find the opportunity to work in different sectors and in the finance and accounting departments of all sectors. Since the right to open an insurance agency, which is granted to undergraduate programs, is also given to banking and insurance programs in associate degrees, they can also open their own insurance agency after graduation. |
Access to Further Studies |
Banking and Insurance graduates; If they are successful in the DGS, they also have the opportunity to transfer to the departments within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Applied Sciences or relevant Open Education undergraduate programs. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the final exam are evaluated. In order to be considered successful in a course, the semester average of that course must be at least 50. Grades given out of 100 points in exams, midterm exams, mid-term homework, projects and short-term exam applications are taken into consideration. At the end of the semester, the weight average is converted into a letter grade. |
Graduation Requirements |
To graduate from the program; In addition to being successful in compulsory and elective courses for a total of 120 ECTS to be taken over 4 semesters, it is necessary to complete a 30-day compulsory internship within the scope of the National Internship Program affiliated with the Presidency or in a sector-based field.

Students who successfully complete all the courses in the department (for a total of 120 ECTS) and obtain a weighted GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded a bachelor's degree in their fields according to their program.
