Profile of The Programme |
The basic purpose of Local Government; local governments (Municipalities, Special Provincial Administrations, village legal entities.), other public institutions and organizations and private sector organizations to work effectively and efficiently talented, possess the knowledge, capable of transmitting information from the business world, with the ability to analyze, creative ideas, train qualified people in an efficient and high quality.
Local Government Program educate students after high school during two years. Aproximately 25 students train in formal education. Students have to accomplish 30 working days vocational traning in business. Student should take and achieve all compulsory and elective courses. Together with compulsory courses, student have to take elective courses in II., III. and IV. semester. To graduate, students is required to have Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 2.00/4.00. |
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples |
Students who graduate from Local Government Programme, general administrative services to local and central government agencies and institutions work as a class have a chance to run or under contract. Workplace Training within the scope of professional practice, especially in two periods I-II and as a result of compulsory internship, many students are employed as contract employees in these institutions. Local governments, central and local administration units, personnel affairs of various public institutions, editorial, public relations, human resources departments of employment in the private sector have the opportunity to our students. In addition, graduate students, municipalities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Special Provincial Administrations, as districts and public institutions, civil servants and contract staff are employed and those who Consultancy Mayor. |
Access to Further Studies |
Candidates who have successfully completed their Associate Degree education can apply to undergraduate programs in related fields, provided that they get sufficient grades from the Vertical Transfer exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
It is necessary that at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the applications have to be continued in order for each student to enroll in classes at the beginning of the semester and to enter the final exam. Students are required to take at least one midterm and a final exam for each course. Contribution to the achievement grade, midterm exam (midterm exam can be taken to evaluate the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, small exam) contribution is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is% 60. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to take at least 45 points from the final exam. A student who receives one of the grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC is deemed to have completed the course. DC and DD grades are conditionally successful grades. |

Facilities |
There are three lecturers in the Local Government Program. All of the theoretical and practical courses are carried out by specialized lecturers in the college and the relevant field in the faculty. The school has a conference room, a library, computer lab with internet connection and technological equipment (projection, internet connection). Apart from the workplace trainings carried out within the scope of professional practice in accordance with the protocols made, Various technical and cultural excursions and activities are also held. |
