General Description
History
The construction technology program of the construction department, which is among the first departments of Aydıntepe Vocational School, started to accept students in the 2017-2018 academic year. There are 30 student quotas in formal education. Educational activities; It is carried out with 4 lecturers.

Graduates of the Construction Technology Program receive the title of Construction Technician.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students are exempted from the courses they have taken at the higher education institution where they have studied before, and the courses that hold ECTS/Credits and course content. An exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester for the English and İnformation Technologies courses, which is also included in the compulsory curriculum of the departments. Students who are successful in the exam are exempted from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
Successful completion of all the courses available in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS) and having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully completing a 30-day internship are the required qualification conditions for graduation.
Profile of The Programme
The Construction Technology program is a program that can be designed and trained in all kinds of people's daily lives. Construction Technology is a general technical discipline based on general and physics education and in engineering sciences such as building, mechanics, mechanics, building materials, transportation, geotechnical and construction. the main goal of the program; It is to train technical technical staff with technical equipment, who own the technology and science and technology. Construction company with graduates of the construction industry; private construction companies, building inspection firms and the public sector, construction companies, construction inspection firms and public companies as necessary personnel (professional personnel) to have sufficient knowledge in terms of needs and to have training and business skills.

As a Construction Technician in the construction sector, which is the most important sector of our country, the graduates of the program; They have employment opportunities both in the public sector and in the private sector. Some of the numerous fields of study for program graduates include: Construction of transportation structures such as highways, railways, bridges - Infrastructure constructions such as drinking water, sewage, treatment plant - Coastal port structures such as harbors, breakwaters, piers - As a Quality Control Staff in concrete producing facilities and building material laboratories - All building productions - Steel structure fabrication and installation - ground improvement - Building control - Static, architectural, reinforced concrete, geotechnical project offices - Computerized applications - Building cost calculations - Land surveying applications - Construction project design - Construction site organization - Tender and contracts - Building repair and reinforcement - Water supply - Water treatment
Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the Construction Technology Associate Degree program, if they are successful in the "Vertical Transfer to Undergraduate Education Exam (DGS)"; They can transfer vertically to the programs specified in the ÖSYM guide within the quota. According to the Vertical Transfer Guide, the undergraduate programs that can be preferred in the field of Construction Technology associate degree graduation are: Civil Engineering - Protection and Repair of Cultural Heritage - Architecture
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Each student must have attended at least 80% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least one midterm exam and a final exam at the end of the semester for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam at the end of the semester is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. A student who fails a course is subject to a make-up exam to be able to take the exam a second time instead of the final exam in order to be successful in the course. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course. DC grade is conditional passing grade. In order for the student to be successful in a course taken by DC, the semester grade point average must be at least 2.00.
Graduation Requirements
In order to obtain an associate degree from the Program of Construction Technology, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

Facilities
In the Construction Department, apart from the classes in which the students are educated, by using the other laboratories and technology classes within the Vocational School adequately; basic computer applications, CAD applications and all kinds of presentation viewing opportunities are available.
