Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) |
Students are exempted from the courses they have taken at the higher education institution where they have studied before, and the courses that hold ECTS/Credits and course content. An exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester for the English course, which is also included in the compulsory curriculum of the departments. Students who have completed the learning process from this course on their own or who think that they have achieved the learning outcomes in these courses in different ways have the right to take this exam. Students who are successful in the exam are exempted from the relevant course in the curriculum. |
Qualification Requirements and Regulations |
Successfully completing all the courses available in the program (for a total of 120 ECTS), having a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 and successfully completing a 30-day summer internship are the required qualification conditions for graduation. |

Graduates of our department can transfer vertically to some departments of the Faculty of Agriculture of universities, to 4-year undergraduate programs such as Food Engineering, Nutrition and Dietetics, Chemistry and Agricultural Biotechnology Departments, with the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) conducted by OSYM. |
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading |
Each student must have attended at least 80% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (the scores obtained from measurement tools such as homework, laboratory exam, quiz, etc.) to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam at the end of the semester is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. A student who fails a course is subject to a make-up exam to be able to take the exam a second time instead of the final exam in order to be successful in the course. Students who get one of the letter grades of AA, BA, BB, CB and CC from a course are deemed to have succeeded in that course. DC grade is conditional passing grade. In order for a student to be successful in a DC course, his or her GPA must be at least 2.0. |
