Objectives of the Course
It is aimed to provide basic knowledge about the theoretical and practical processes of art and design, to develop perception, analysis, reflection and interpretation skills, and to provide experience in creating compositions based on the principles and elements of design.

The content of this course includes the introduction of design elements and principles within the scope of explaining the basic concepts and the process of the course; surface research with points; surface research with lines; design applications from natural, artificial and geometric forms; light-dark value research; light-shadow studies; texture studies; general color information, color wheel application; introduction of color harmony; color contrast applications, misleading contrast, plain contrast, warm-cold contrast, quality contrast, light-dark contrast, complementary contrast, quantity contrast.
